The John Deere 40 Series. Where to even begin with this. The SoundGuard series as it was called by Deere turned the tractor world upside down with unrivaled usability, power and comfort. That series started with the John Deere 4030,4230, 4430 and 4630, and it only grew more popular with the second wave of the series, the 40 series. The 40 series included the 4040, 4240, 4440, 4640, and 4840 and remains one of the most iconic tractor series ever produced by the company.

Personally, this was the first mod I ever made/edited. The 40 series holds a special place in many people's hears for many reasons, for me that list of reasons includes why I started modding in the first place. The drive to take a bad conversion of a bad FS17 mod and make it something accurate, beautiful, and something people wanted to use. Even though I look back at this mod and see all the flaws, work that needs to be done, and quality that doesn't match what I strive for today, this mod really is the reason I have a place in the community. So thank you 40 series, without you this adventure never would have happened.
